The prices of ingredients for arrangements are a little high. However, unlike other skills, Flower Arranging has several benefits that make it an ideal skill for new families. First, while flower arrangements can cost over 100 even at Level 1, the finished product often sells for the same amount or, at worst, only slightly less. This is unlike Painting and Woodworking, where early products often sell for a significant loss.
Second, flower arranging is quick; a single Sim can usually get a half-dozen arrangements done a day if they focus, resulting in large skill gains and tons of profit at higher levels. This makes it advantageous over Painting or Writing due to how long it takes to paint or write a book.
Third, seeds are incredibly cheap, and if the Sim also knows Gardening, they can grow effectively free ingredients. Cut all flowers and foliage about one inch from the bottom of a main stem.Make the slice at an angle of about 45 degrees. Cutting at an angle provides alarger exposed area for the uptake of water. It also enables the stem to standon a point, allowing water to be in contact with the cut surface. Remove allthe lower foliage that would be submerged in water.
